How do i disappear and reappear in dragonball z budokai tenkaichi 2?

Ouch, this is by far the hardest move to do in the DBZ game series. I can't remeber how to do it exactly. It involves moving the toggle in the direction of your rival. Then using whatever the on is to release you Ki. G'luck!
