How you can tell if the guy likes me or not? and How do you confess to the guy you like?

I'm 16 years old and i like this guy whose 2 years older than me and got into college early becuz hes really rsmart! he's from my church and i fell for him becuz he's been really nice to him. I knew him for pretty long but we never got close or talked to each other and stuff. But finally we got to talk and stuff and i found out his facebook and his sn. Him and I talked like 3 hrs everyday and I even invited him to my bday party.he said yes but he couldnt come becuz something came up...family business.I was really upset but itz okie. And wenever i had problems. He has been always there for me like chatting and stuff. I always tell my bestfriends like what we talk about and stuff. They were like omg yur so flirting with him and the funny thing is dat he's flirting you bak. Like at church wenever he sees me he always say hi to me and talks to me a lot. But after we got closed to each other in a month. Later on ierno y but he ignored me. What is he thinking? does he like me or not? ierno.
