My wife cheated on me, what should I do?
I am an influential man from a well off family. I've been married four times before, it's my fifth marriage. I have two daughters and one legitimate son. I met Catherine when I was married to another woman, a German. Catherine worked for my wife Anne. I was smitten with her. I annulled my marriage to Anne and married Catherine. I wondered how she agreed, I am about thirty years older than she. Though the war made economy unstable and we all suffered, I gave my young bride estates, jewels, clothes and any expensive gift she wanted. We travelled a lot. I thought we'd live happily ever after and have children. I'd like to have another son, or maybe two. But Catherine never got pregnant. Instead, I was sent a letter, which said that she was very promiscuous when a young girl. She lived with and was educated by her step-grandmother, Agnes Tilney. A woman who worked as a maid at the household witnessed Catherine's ual escapades (with her music teacher and her grandmother's secretary), and her brother sent me a letter to warn me about my wife. At first I thought that it was a fake letter, people envy Catherine and will do anything to destroy the peace in our family. But then they found a love letter, which Catherine wrote to one of my employees, Thomas Culpeper. They had a relationship and cheated on me in my own house, in my own bedroom! The story became widely known, and my family life is discussed all over the world, I even received letters of commiseration from abroad! I am devastated, I feel lonely and used, and ridiculous. What should I do?
