The short story, by Katherine Anne Porter, takes place in Granny’s room at her daughter Cornelia’s house. The story is centered around the protagonist, Granny Weatherall, living out her final days. Years ago Granny had been jilted at the altar, and now she is being jilted in death. The story illustrates the concept of refusing to forgive, as well as living in the past.
